11 DGs get new depts
The government has appointed new Director Generals (DGs) to several departments under different ministries.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications on Sunday confirming the appointments.
According to the notifications, Khondokar Anwar Hossain, Director at the Office of the Divisional Commissioner in Barishal, has been appointed as the Director General of the National Institute of Youth Development.
Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun, Director of the Department of Disaster Management, has been made
Director General of the National Freedom Fighters Council.
Md. Jashim Uddin Khan, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed Director General of the Directorate General of Food, while S.M. Arif Pasha, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Land, will serve as Director General of the Department of Agricultural Marketing.
Kazi Md. Saiful Islam, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed Director General of the Bureau of Non-Formal Education, and Asaduzzaman, Director of the Directorate of Government Accommodation, has been named Director General of the Wage Earners’ Welfare Board.
In addition, Dr. Md. Lutfur Rahman, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, has been appointed Director General of the Department of Environment, while Dil Afroza, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, has been made Director General of the Directorate of Nursing and Midwifery.
