BD Women’s Hockey squad leave for Jakarta

Bangladesh Women’s Hockey squad will leave the city today at 2:00am for Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia to take part in the Women’s Asian Games Hockey Qualifier. Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong, China are in Pool-A while, hosts Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan and Singapore are in Pool-B.

The tournament will start on April 23 and will come to an end on April 29.

Top four teams will get tickets to play in the final phase of Asian Games Women’s Hockey Competition.

Bangladesh will take on Chinese Taipei in their first Pool-A match on April 23. Bangladesh will face off Uzbekistan in their second Pool-A match on April 24.

Bangladesh will meet Hong Kong, China in their last Pool-A match on April 26.
The two semi-finals will be held on April 28. The final will take place on April 29.

The players of Bangladesh Women’s Hockey squad are: Orpita Pal, Heemadri Barua Sukh, Neeladri Barua Neel, Riyasha Akter Rishi, Ninisen Rakhain, Tonni Khatun, Dhanuching Marma, Sharika Safa Rimon, Fatema Tuzzohora, Airin Akter Riya, Nadira Talukdar Ema, Kona Akter, Jakia Afroj Lima, Mohua, Sanjida Akter Moni, Ritu Akter, Fardia Akhter Ratry and Nadira.
