Rain likely in parts of country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Sunday forecasted that rain would occur in different parts of the country in next 24 hours commencing 9am.

“Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at a few places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Barisal and Chittagong divisions with hails at isolated places,” a Met office bulletin said, reports media.

It said the weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country. Day and night temperature may fall slightly over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and it may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country.

The highest temperature on Saturday was 36.3°C in Rajshahi and Rangamati, and Sunday’s minimum temperature is 19°C in Kumarkhali under Khulna division.

The sun sets at 6:22pm on Sunday and rises at 5:33am on Monday in Dhaka.

Total number of confirmed measles patients was 3,443 and the number of suspected measles cases was 23,606. During the same period, 12,396 people have recovered from the hospital and returned home.
