Saha Foundation marks seven years of Service with anniversary celebration

Saha Foundation, a government-approved, non-political, non-profit voluntary organization based in the city, held its 7th Anniversary and Distinguished Persons Reception on Saturday, at the Dhaka Boat Club, Borokakor, Birulia, Savar.

The programme brought together members, beneficiaries, advisors, and distinguished guests for a full day of reflection, recognition, and celebration.

Founded on a commitment to social welfare, education, and healthcare, the Foundation has, over seven years, established itself as a structured and community-driven organization dedicated to inclusive development and social cohesion.

A Day of Recognition and Renewal The morning session opened with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by the Foundation’s theme song and a formal presentation on the organization’s seven-year journey.

New members were introduced, and both new members and scholarship recipients addressed the gathering, offering personal accounts of the Foundation’s impact on their lives and communities.

The afternoon session featured the centrepiece of the day: theGunijon awards ceremony, in which distinguished persons from the community were presented with commemorative crests in recognition of their contributions to society.

Community leaders and outgoing office-bearers addressed the gathering before the President delivered his remarks.

The session concluded with the formal unveiling of “Bandhan,” the Foundation’s commemorative publication.

A cultural programmed, raffle draw and tea reception brought the event to a close in the evening.

Apurba Kumar Saha, Convener of the Anniversary Celebration Committee, reflected on the occasion: “Reaching seven years as a registered organization is a reflection of the dedication of our members and the trust of our community.

This anniversary was an opportunity to celebrate those who have contributed most, and to renew our commitment to service.”

Malay Kumar Saha, President of Saha Foundation, addressed members and guests: “We began with a clear purpose: to serve, to support, and to bring people together.

Seven years on, our scholarship recipients, our health programmes, and our growing membership show that purpose is being fulfilled. We are grateful to every member and well-wisher who has made this possible.”
