Ankhi Alamgir, Arfin Rumey to perform in ‘Boishakhi Mela’ in Japan
The festival of Bengalis’ lives, ‘Boishakhi Mela 2026’, is being held again on Japanese soil to welcome the Bengali New Year.
The fair will be held on April 12, at the picturesque Litopia Park in Misato City, Saitama Prefecture, said a press release.
The organisers hope that the festival, organised by the Boisakhi Mela Japan Management, will become a gathering place for expatriate Bangladeshis.
According to the release, Bangladeshi singers Ankhi Alamgir and Arfin Rumey will be the main attractions of this year’s fair.
The music team includes Bappi, Rana, Ujjwal and Mehedi. This cultural programme has been organised with the intention of building a little bit of Bangladesh amidst the busy life of expatriates.
The organising committee said that the main objective of the fair is to introduce Bengali culture to the new generation living in Japan and to increase camaraderie among the expatriates.
The fair will begin in a festive atmosphere on the morning of April 12.
