Abbas transferred from ICU to cabin

Mirza Abbas, BNP Standing Committee member and adviser to the party chairperson, has been transferred from the Critical Care Unit (CCU) to a cabin at a hospital in Singapore, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

Abbas was airlifted to Singapore on March 15 from Evercare Hospital in Dhaka’s Bashundhara Residential Area.

On Friday morning (April 3), doctors moved him from the ICU to a cabin. According to medical advice, he is gradually recovering and is now able to speak with people, albeit in a limited manner.
Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP’s media cell, confirmed the update.

Another BNP Standing Committee member and adviser to the chairperson, Nazrul Islam Khan, also traveled to Singapore on Tuesday for medical treatment at the National University Hospital.
Party members and supporters have expressed their hopes for the speedy recovery of both senior leaders.
