Sonargaon University holds admission fair with 40% fee waiver

An admission fair offering a 40 percent waiver on admission fees for prospective students of the Summer–2026 semester is underway at Sonargaon University. The month-long fair covers 21 programmes under 13 departments across three faculties, reads a press release.

The fair was inaugurated recently at the university’s campus in Panthapath, Green Road. The inauguration was conducted by Trustee Board Member Umme Salma.

Among others present were Trustee Board Adviser Azizul Bari Shipu, Acting Vice-Chancellor Mohammad Ekramul Islam, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Bulbul Ahmed, along with deans of different faculties, department heads, coordinators, office heads, teachers, officials and students.

Under the Faculty of Science and Engineering, the university offers four-year BSc programmes in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Textile Engineering, Fashion Design and Technology, Architecture, and Apparel Manufacture and Technology. Under the Faculty of Business, programmes include a four-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), MBA in Apparel Merchandising, MBA in Supply Chain Management, MBA in Textile and Fashion Marketing, Master’s in Bank Management, Master of Business Administration, Regular Master of Business Administration, and Executive Master of Business Administration. Under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, programmes include four-year LLB, LLM, BA (Hons) in Bangla, and Journalism and Media Studies.
