Although there was a slight slowdown in operations on March 21 during the Eid holidays, the number of ship and container handling increased significantly in the next two days (March 22 and 23).

On March 24, the port’s capacity was 43,200 TUS against the 59,000 TUS capacity.
A task force was formed to ensure and supervise the supply chain of fuel oil and daily necessities during the holy Ramadan and Eid holidays.

Through which, the supervision and monitoring of goods unloading at the jetty side and outer anchorage of Chattogram Port has been carried out intensively.

The port secretary said that due to the recent work stoppage and increase in the rate of ship arrivals at Chittagong Port, the waiting time of ships has increased by two or three days.

However, currently, as a result of the overall monitoring and coordination of the authorities, it has been possible to achieve zero days in the waiting time of ships at the outer anchorage, which is a significant achievement for the port.
