Journo Gaziul Hasan arrives Friday morning

Senior Journalist and recipient of the “Ekoshe Podak” Gaziul Hasan Khan will arrive in Dhaka on Friday morning (27th March) after a long heart treatment in London.

Gaziul Hasan, a prominent freedom fighter, told The New Nation that he would like to gives his thanks and gratitude to his old colleagues, friends and relatives for their ‘duah’ and best wishes during the ailment.

Gaziul Hasan Khan (born 28 September 1946) is a Bangladeshi journalist and ex-diplomat with a long professional career in London. He is former chief editor and managing director of the national news agency Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha.

He was awarded the Ekushey Padak (second-highest national civilian award) in 2006 by the government of Bangladesh for his contributions to journalism.

He also served as a minister in charge of Press and Information at the Embassy of Bangladesh in Washington DC, United States.
