PS to Dr. Shafiqur Rahman appointed

Muhammad Ibrahim, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources, has been appointed as the Private Secretary (PS) to Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. The Ministry of Public Administration issued the order on Tuesday , appointing him to the post.

He has been assigned the responsibility of Private Secretary (Deputy Secretary) to Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, reports media. The notification stated that the order, issued in the public interest, will take immediate effect. It was signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Golam Morshed under the directive of the President.

Earlier, on 12 February, the BNP formed the government as the majority party following the 13th National Parliamentary Election. Jamaat-e-Islami, as part of an alliance, is represented in Parliament as the main opposition party.
