Pakistan for Dhaka–Lahore flights, aviation cooperation

Pakistan has expressed interest in expanding aviation cooperation with Bangladesh, including launching flights on the Dhaka–Lahore route and exploring broader bilateral engagement in the sector.

The interest was conveyed by Pakistan Ambassador to Bangladesh Imran Haider during a courtesy call on Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam (Rita) at the ministry today. BSS report.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M. Rashiduzzaman Millat was also present at the meeting, said an official handout here.

During the talks, both sides emphasized strengthening, diversifying and expanding existing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

The envoy expressed interest in jointly working with Bangladesh in the aviation sector.

Both sides discussed enhancing cooperation in the tourism sector and showed interest in signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate collaboration.

The minister and the state minister reaffirmed Bangladesh’s commitment to working closely with Pakistan in civil aviation and tourism.
