NRBC Bank launches digital donation box service

Business Desk :
The Al-Amin Islamic Banking Window of NRBC Bank has launched a “Digital Donation Box” service to encourage charity and promote cashless transactions.
Through Bangla QR, any amount of money can be donated from various bank apps and mobile banking apps to the digital donation boxes of mosques, madrasas, orphanages, and other charitable organizations.
The service was officially inaugurated on Sunday by Syed Mohammad Mosaddeq Billah, Chairman of the Shariah Supervisory Committee of the NRBC Al Islamic Banking Window at Bank’s Heade office.
On the occasion, Dr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan, FCMA, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank, Dr. Obaidullah along with other senior officials, were present.
During the event, it was announced that under the Shariah-based Al-Amin Islamic Banking services, NRBC Bank facilitates the opening of accounts for various charitable institutions such as mosques, madrasas, orphanages, and other nonprofit organizations at its branches.
QR codes are being provided using the account numbers opened in the names of these institutions.
By scanning the QR code, donors can send money directly from any bank’s mobile banking or financial service app. The donated funds will be credited directly to the respective institution’s account.
This initiative will make the process of giving zakat, donations and charity easier, safer, and more transparent.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan, Managing Director & CEO of the NRBC Bank, said that the Digital Donation Box will enable people to contribute to charitable causes in an easy, secure, and transparent manner.
He added that the initiative will play an important role in expanding cashless transactions and will also support financial inclusion and awareness.
