Due to climate change and unplanned shrimp farming here, the salinity level in the soil and water has increased. The salinity, salt, and acidity of the soil and water have increased, which has greatly damaged the quality of land. Due to which farmers are unable to grow the desired crops. Due to the increase in alternative farming by the government and cultivation of improved varieties of salt-tolerant paddy, cultivation has increased.

In addition, farmers are benefiting from mechanization in agriculture and advice from assistant agricultural officers. The government is making various efforts to protect the farmers and agriculture. The official said that efforts are being made to increase fertility in the land by testing the quality of the soil and water at the field level.
