Without women’s dignity country’s development will be hindered: MP Aziz

Alhaj Md. Abdul Aziz, MP from Natore-4 (Gurdaspur–Baraigram) constituency, said that women’s dignity must be established in society; otherwise, the country’s development will be hindered. “We stayed in our mother’s womb for ten months and ten days. She is a woman.
A child’s heaven lies under the mother’s feet. Yet many women are still humiliated and abused. Everyone in society must come forward to protect them,” he said.
He added that men and women complement each other. If society fails to protect women, the desired change will not come and the pace of development will be hampered. He also said that the role of women in the development of the country and the nation is immense.
He made these remarks as the chief guest at a discussion meeting organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day by the Upazila Administration and the Women’s Affairs Department in Baraigram, Natore.
On this occasion, a meeting was held at the Upazila Auditorium on Sunday. It was presided over by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Zubair Jahangir.
