‘Women empowerment in economic activities will make country prosperous’

National growth is not possible without transforming half of the country’s population, women, into public resources and including them in economic activities, either formally or informally, said State Minister for the Ministry of Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin. He said these things at the Indomitable Women Award distribution ceremony at the District Shilpakala Academy on Monday. Four successful women were honored at the ceremony.
Speaking as the chief guest, Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin said that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has always worked for the development of women.
Especially during the tenure of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs was formed.
In the current context, special importance is being given to the empowerment of women in light of the 31-point plan for state repair.
At the ceremony organized by the Department of Women Affairs and the Office of the Chattogram Divisional Commissioner, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Deputy Commissioner Zahidul Islam Miah, Additional DIG (Admin) of Chattogram Range Md. NazimulHaque and others were also present at the event, which was presided over by Ziauddin.
