Staff Correspondent, N’ganj :

The newly appointed Administrator of Narayanganj City Corporation, Advocate Shakhawat Hossain Khan, has said that the city’s civic condition is currently in a dire state, and he is determined to address it.

He announced that a specific 60-day action plan will be undertaken to resolve at least the most pressing problems within a set timeframe.

“I consider this a sacred responsibility and seek the cooperation of all city residents,” he said while speaking to journalists at his office in the City Hall on Wednesday, his first working day after assuming office. He was greeted receptions from party leaders and City Corporation officials and employees.

Administrator Shakhawat said their first priority would be mosquito control, especially with the rainy season approaching. “During this season, outbreaks of dengue and chikungunya increase.

We will take strong measures to eliminate mosquitoes, ensure cleanliness, and repair damaged roads,” he stated.
