Afida Khandaker, Rupna Chakma and Monika Chakma have practiced briefly in Dhaka before the AFC Women’s Asian Cup.

Earlier, there were talks of camps in Japan, Korea and Vietnam, but they did not see the light of day. Currently, the girls are having a good time in Sydney.

They started with light practice at Valentine Sports Park in Sydney. Rituporna Chakma & Co. got into the heat on Monday. “The Bangladesh Women’s Football team’s hotel is next to this practice ground.

That is why there is no such hassle in coming and going from the hotel to the field,” said Alpi Akter, who got a chance in the team for the first time.

In a video message sent by the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), Alpi said, “It is very hot here. We have not had such heat in Bangladesh yet. It is excessively hot here.

We are trying to adapt to the environment for now. We are staying in one place, the field, the gym, everything is happening in one place. So I don’t feel like going to the field by bus, it feels good.”

Alpi scored 29 goals in 10 matches for Rajshahi Stars Sports Club, which team became champions in the latest Women’s Football League.

She also achieved success in the SAFF Under-19 Women’s Championship recently.

She scored a maximum of 7 goals. As a reward for this performance, this forward was called up to the national team.

So Alpi is happy to travel and practice with the national team for the first time.

She said, “Alhamdulillah, it was a long-standing desire to practice and play with the national team.

So that desire (practice) has been fulfilled. It feels good to practice with you guys. I am practicing very well with them.”

After the training camp in Sydney, the Bangladesh Women’s Football team will arrive at the AFC-designated hotel on February 27.

Bangladesh will face current champions China in the first match of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup at Sydney in Australia on March 3.

Bangladesh will play against North Korea in Sydney on March 6 and Uzbekistan in Perth on March 9.
