‘BNP’s talk of reducing corruption not credible’

Sr. Staff Reporter, Kishoreganj :

Bangladesh Islamic Chhatra Shibir president Nurul Islam Saddam has commented that BNP’s talk of reducing corruption is not credible, and that even the devil laughs when he hears them say so.

He made the remarks on Monday while addressing the chief guest at an election rally organized by Jamaat-e-Islami at Bajitpur Dakbangla ground.

Nurul Islam Saddam said that, ” BNP have promised to reduce prices and break syndicates before, but they have not been able to implement them. When they talk about reducing corruption, it is not credible, even the devil smiles when he hears about their corruption.”

Shibir president also said, “BNP had made various promises in the past; various initiatives including loan waiver for farmers and provision of allowances for the unemployed were mentioned. But those promises were not implemented.”

An attempt is being made to establish a new politics of oppression and torture in the country. The people do not want to see these activities anymore. Saddam accused the BNP and its affiliates of being responsible for the recent incidents of violence, extortion and torture of women.

District Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and Jamaat-nominated MP candidate for Kishoreganj-5 (Nikli-Bajitpur) constituency Professor Md. Ramzan Ali presided over the public meeting.
