3 killed in Lalmohan bus crash

Three people, including a mother and son, were killed in a recklessly speeding bus crash in Lalmohan upazila of Bhola. At least 10 others were injured in the incident. The accident occurred on Monday afternoon in the Dr. Azhar Uddin Degree College area of ??the Bhola-Char Fashion regional highway in West Char Umed Union of the upazila. The deceased are – artist Rani Das (55) of Shashiganj area of ??ward number 5 of Chandpur Union of Tajumuddin Upazila, her son Tushar Das (25) and auto-rickshaw driver Md. Nasim (43).

It is learned that on Monday afternoon, a recklessly speeding bus leaving from Bhola for Char Fashion reached in front of Dr. Azhar Uddin Degree College of Lalmohan and hit an auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction and fell into a ditch on the side of the road.

The autorickshaw was crushed. The autorickshaw driver and mother and son were killed in the incident. Upon receiving the information, a team of police and fire service reached the spot and recovered the body of the deceased and sent the injured to the hospital for treatment.

Confirming the matter, Lalmohan Police Station OC Md. Oliul Islam said that the incident site was inspected after receiving the information. Legal action is under process in this incident.
