Tarique calls for votes for BNP in Kishoreganj, promises dev

Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Dal (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman on Thursday sought votes for BNP candidates in Kishoreganj, urging voters to back the sheaf of paddy to ensure the district’s overall development.
Tarique Rahman was addressing of the party ‘s leader, workers and supporters were gathered in a rally at kishoreganj ‘s Bhairab Stadium on Thursday night 11:45am, while district BNP president, Party nominated MP candidate for Bhairab – Kuliarchar constituency, Shariful Alam in the chair.
Tarique pointed to six candidates from the district present on the stage and told the gathering, “I am handing these six people over to you. By making them win, you will hold them accountable. You will ask about development work in your area. You will ask for solutions to your problems.”
BNP chairman Tarique Rahman also said voters also have responsibilities.
“The people have a responsibility, those who are voters have a responsibility.
We all have to work together to build the country. We carried out the movement together, didn’t we” he said.
Development initiatives could only move forward if the BNP is voted to power.
“If canal digging programmes are to start again, if family cards are to be delivered to mothers and sisters in every home, if farmers’ cards are to be handed to farmers, and if arrangements are to be made to honour imams and khatibs, then these things can only be done by voting for the sheaf of paddy.”

Referring to local infrastructure and public services, he said, “If you want to fix roads in your area, improve schools and colleges, and ensure doctors and medicines in local hospitals, then you must make the sheaf of paddy win. Then you can go to them and say, ‘This is our problem. We elected you. Now go and solve our problems.'”
Calling on voters to remain vigilant on polling day, Tarique Rahman said, “But first of all, you must vote. Where (for which symbol) will you vote? For the sheaf of paddy. You must keep your eyes and ears open. You must stay alert.”
It was addressed among others, BNP vice president, also party MP candidate, ex-Minister dr. Osman Faruq, district BNP general secretary, party nominated candidate Kishoreganj sadar -Hossioadder Mazarul Islam and BNP MP candidates and dignified party leaders.
