SMP meeting held in Sylhet

A meeting was held by the Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) to strengthen overall security measures in the metropolitan area ahead of the upcoming arrival of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman in Sylhet.

Sylhet Metropolitan Police Commissioner Abdul Quddus Chowdhury presided over the meeting held at the conference room of the SMP headquarters on Sunday (January 18) at 3 pm.

Sylhet District BNP President Janneta Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury, Sylhet Metropolitan BNP Acting President Rezaul Hasan Kayes Lodi and Metropolitan BNP General Secretary Imdad Hossain Chowdhury spoke at the meeting.

In the meeting, detailed discussions were held on maintaining law and order situation, ensuring public safety, smooth movement of vehicles and maintaining peaceful environment during the program.
