Bangladesh Women’s team blank Nepal

Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team blanked Nepal Women’s Futsal team 3-0 in their third match of the SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship held at the Nonthaburi Stadium in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand on Monday.
Bangladesh women led the points table securing seven points from three matches.
Bangladesh led the first half 3-0.
Captain of Bangladesh Sabina Khatun put her team ahead in the 13th minute of the match.
Krishna Rani Sarkar doubled the margin in the 19th minute of the play.
After the lemon-break, Lipi Akter sealed the fate of the match in the 33rd minute of the game.
Bangladesh created a good number of moves in the first half and second half. Nepalese goalie was busy to save her team from more conceding goals.
Later, Bangladesh custodian Shopna Akter Jili foiled some attacks of Nepal.
Bangladesh defeated India 3-1 in their first match at the same venue on January 15.
Bangladesh made a 3-3 goals draw with Bhutan in their second match at the same venue on January 17.
It may be mentioned that Captain of Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team Sabina Khatun scored four goals playing three matches.
Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team will take on Sri Lanka Women’s Futsal team in their fourth match at the same venue on January 21.
A total of seven teams are taking part in the SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship. They are: Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Maldives. The competition is rolling on single league basis. The highest points achiever team will clinch the trophy of the SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship.
