District Council scholarship distribution held

Sylhet Divisional Commissioner Khan Md. Reza-un-Nabi said, there is no alternative to building manpower with ethics and morality to build a new Bangladesh. To transform today’s Bangladesh, the fruit of the student movement, into a new form, honest, skilled and patriotic leadership is needed.

We have to work with united leadership and a strong desire to take the country forward. We have to develop humane people with human values by abandoning all kinds of discrimination. The youth society has to come forward with patriotic people to prevent all kinds of mischief.

He said that all the students who are getting scholarships today will also strive to build themselves as honest, skilled and patriotic citizens. He called on the patriotic people to be vocal in confronting all kinds of conspiracies in view of the upcoming elections.

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the District Council Scholarship (2023) distribution ceremony organized by the District Council, Sylhet on Thursday afternoon at the District Council Hallroom.
The scholarship distribution ceremony was presided over by District Council Administrator and Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) Ashrafur Rahman.

Sylhet Press Club President Muktabis-un-Noor, Sylhet Government Women’s College former principal Professor Md. Hayatul Islam Akhanji, Sylhet Deputy Commissioner Md. Sarwar Alam spoke as special guests at the program moderated by District Council Executive Officer Anupama Das.
