Bangladesh beat India in opening match

Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team beat India Women’s Futsal team 3-1 in their opening match of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Futsal Championship on Thursday at Hua Mak Indoor Stadium in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand.

Earlier, Bangladesh Men’s Futsal team played a 4-4 goals draw with India Men’s Futsal team in their inaugural match of the SAFF Futsal Championship at Chonburi Stadium in Thailand on Wednesday. Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team led the first half 2-0.
Captain of Bangladesh Women’s Futsal team Sabina Khatun put her team ahead in the seventh minute. Her teammate Krishna Rani assisted her to score the goal.
Sabina Khatun doubled the margin in the 13th minute. Her teammate Krishna Rani again assisted her to find the net.
After the lemon-break, Matsushima Sumaya of Bangladesh made it 3-1 in the 31st minute of the play.
Arya More of India reduced the margin in the 40th minute of the game.
The commentators were impressed after watching the performance of Sabina Khatun. They also highly praised her performance.
In the second-half India tried to level the margin. Goalkeeper of Bangladesh Jili saved her team from danger.
It may be mentioned that Head Coach of Bangladesh Women’s Football team Peter Butler dropped Sabina Khatun, Krisna Rani, Masura Parvin and Matsushima Sumaya from Bangladesh Women’s Football team.
So they played in the SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship and the domestic football competitions.
