Mobile court fines illegal sand miners in Saghata

A mobile court imposes fines and destroys equipment over illegal sand extraction in Saghata Upazila. On Wednesday , Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ratan Kumar Dutta conducts a raid at the south side of Trimohoni Bridge in Kachua Union, where a dredger is reportedly used to extract sand illegally from the Alai River.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, a resident named Lal Mia is fined BDT 50,000 for illegally cutting soil from agricultural land in the Dimla Padum Shahar area of the Upazila. Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ratan Kumar Dutta states that operations against illegal sand extraction and soil cutting from farmland will continue.
