Rupali Bank local office sets record in loan recovery

Rupali Bank PLC’s local office has achieved a record-breaking milestone in classified loan recovery, marking the highest collection performance in its history.
In 2025, the office recovered Tk 4,000 crore from defaulted loans, including Tk 4.5 billion in cash and Tk 9 crore from written-off loans, according to a press release.
The achievement is being hailed as a significant boost to the bank’s recovery efforts and financial discipline.
To celebrate the success, managing director Kazi Md Wahidul Islam visited the bank’s local office in Dilkusha last week , where he congratulated and encouraged the officers and employees involved in the recovery drive.
Deputy managing director Tahmina Akhtar, collection department general manager Mohammad Shajahan Chowdhury, local office general manager Abu Naser Mohammad Masud, deputy general manager and head of collection NM Ali Imam, among others, attended the event.
Wahidul Islam said that this highest achievement in the history of the bank’s local office would play an important role in strengthening the financial discipline of Rupali Bank.
He called on all the officers and employees to work with dedication and professionalism to maintain the continuity of this achievement.
