If Khaleda Zia’s ideals followed, Bangladesh will never lose its way

Begum Khaleda Zia is a unique name in the political history of Bangladesh. She is not just the leader of a party, but a strong symbol of the country’s democracy, sovereignty, and nationalist spirit.

The ideological position she has developed through various ups and downs, political crises and personal sacrifices is still relevant and guiding for Bangladesh today.

It can be said that if Khaleda Zia’s ideals are followed, Bangladesh will never loose from its way.

Khaleda Zia’s politics were based on democracy and people’s rights. She believed that the real owners of the state were the people and that the power to govern the state should be determined through the people’s vote.

Today, when democratic values are facing various challenges, her ideals remind us that sustainable development is not possible without democracy.

She was uncompromising on the issue of Bangladesh’s independence and sovereignty. Her stance was clear, taking a stand against foreign influence or domination, prioritizing national interests, and a self-respecting foreign policy.

This nationalist spirit can play an important role in making the country a self-reliant and strong nation.

Another major ideological aspect of Khaleda Zia was social justice. She wanted to bring the issues of the poor, working class, and marginalized people to the center of politics.

Various public safety programmes, education, and health sector initiatives during her time contributed to improving the quality of life of the common people.

The philosophy that development is not limited to infrastructure alone, but rather ensuring human dignity and fair rights is the main goal of development is clearly reflected in her politics.

Most importantly, Khaleda Zia was also an inspiration in women’s empowerment.

Becoming the Prime Minister three times as a woman is not only a personal achievement, but also a great example of increasing the self-confidence of the women’s community in Bangladesh.

She has shown that leadership, determination, and wisdom are not gender-specific. Her political career is a powerful source of inspiration for today’s young generation of women.

Bangladesh is currently facing various economic, social and political challenges. To overcome these crises, a moral, democratic and people-centered political philosophy is needed.

Khaleda Zia’s ideology can show that direction. History proves that a nation that deviates from its values and ideals loses its way.

And a nation that moves forward by clinging to the right ideals has an enlightened future. Only by embracing Khaleda Zia’s ideals Bangladesh will move forward on that enlightened path.
