17 NBR commissioners transferred simultaneously

The government has transferred 17 commissioners of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) in a single move.
The transfers were made through a notification issued on Tuesday, signed by Mohammad Abul Mansur, senior assistant secretary of Customs and VAT Administration-1 of the NBR, according to an official release issued this evening.

The notification stated that the transfer order was issued in the public interest with the approval of the appropriate authorities and through the Election Commission Secretariat of the Bangladesh Election Commission.

The order has come into effect immediately. It said the reshuffle was carried out following the approval of postings and inter-departmental transfers of officials and employees working in Customs and VAT sub-divisions under the NBR, particularly in connection with appointments to newly created offices.

The transferred commissioners have been requested to send copies of their joining letters to the Customs and VAT Administration-1 Branch of the NBR after assuming their new responsibilities, the release added.
