Trust Bank launches first ever Annual Sustainability Report

Trust Bank PLC has published its first Annual Sustainability Report, marking a significant step toward strengthening its commitment to sustainable finance and responsible banking. The report was unveiled in the presence of Chowdhury Liakat Ali, Director of the Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank, and Trust Bank Managing Director and CEO Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury, along with senior executives, according to a press release.

The report highlights the bank’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) priorities, aligning with IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 standards and the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). It aims to build awareness of sustainable banking practices among the bank’s workforce and support long-term strategic goals. Speaking at the event, Chowdhury Liakat Ali praised Trust Bank for advancing in sustainable finance. Presiding over the ceremony, Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury noted that Trust Bank has been ranked among Bangladesh’s top sustainable banks.
