Martyred Intellectuals’ Day was observed in Shibganj with due respect and solemnity. On the occasion, on Sunday morning, the Upazila administration organised a programme at the historic Chhoto Sonamasjid premises, beginning with the hoisting of the national flag.

Following this, District Commissioner Shahadat Hossain Masud paid tribute by laying wreaths at the grave of Bir Sreshtho Shaheed Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir and at the Sonamasjid mass grave.

Also present at the event were Additional District Commissioner Nakib Hasan Tarafdar, Chapainawabganj Superintendent of Police Gautam Kumar Biswas, Shibganj Upazila Executive Officer Ashiq Ahmed, BNP-nominated 13th National Parliamentary Election candidate.
