Islamic knowledge contest held

The largest upazila-based competition ‘Pibaria Group – Light of Islam’ Islamic Knowledge Competition-2025 was held in Gafargaon, Mymensingh.
On Thursday, the day-long competition was held at the ground of the madrasa at the initiative of Ghagra Porabaria Abdur Rahman Khan Islamia Madrasa, a pioneering institution in the practice of religious knowledge and spreading moral education, and under the overall supervision of prominent industrialist and education enthusiast Md. Nuruzzaman Khan Rana. About 300 students from various madrasas, schools and colleges of the upazila participated in the day-long competition in 6 categories.
The main attraction of this competition of Pibaria Group was ‘Hifzul Quran’. In addition, hundreds of spectators were fascinated by the participation of students in various stages of the fascinating recitation, Azan-Ekkamat and Hamd-Naat competition. Cash prizes were awarded to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place winners in 6 categories, attractive prizes were awarded to the 6th to 10th place winners and consolation prizes to 100 people. In addition, the teachers of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners were awarded with honorary crests.
The competition was attended by 15 experienced judges led by International Qari and Gold Medalist Hafiz Maulana Abu Saleh Mohammad Musa and International Hafiz and Islamic Scholar Mufti Maulana Zakaria Mahmud, along with the Muhtamim Mostafizur Rahman (Charbuhi) of the said madrasa, teachers, guardians and well-wishers.
After the day-long competition, the 6th Annual Islamic Conference began in the evening. Eminent scholars and invited guests presented the prizes to the winners on the conference stage.
