Colorful rally held for Harmony Festival

A colorful rally was held in Srimangal, Moulvibazar, keeping in mind the ‘Harmony Festival’, a symbol of multicultural harmony.

On Thursday morning, under the initiative of the Bangladesh Tourism Board and the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism and in cooperation with the Srimangal Upazila administration, people of various ethnic groups including Khasi, Garo, Tripura, and Manipuri participated in the rally wearing their own clothes.

Srimangal Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Islam Uddin, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mohibullah Akon and others were present at the rally. Srimangal Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Islam Uddin said, 26 gazetted small ethnic groups live in our Srimangal.

To showcase their culture in Bangladesh and the world, last year, Bangladesh Tourism Board and Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism organised Ne Harmony Festival Season 1 in collaboration with Srimangal Upazila Administration. Continuing its success.

a three-day festival has been organized on December 18, 19 and 20 at the Phulchhara Tea Garden Ground in Srimangal.

There will be 63 cultural performances here in three days. There will be various stalls of small ethnic groups.
