DU Bijoy-71 hall fire brought under control

The fire flamed at the Bijoy 71 hall of the Dhaka  University is now fully under control. A fire erupted at the hall’s extension canteen around 6 pm today, triggering  explosions of four gas cylinders and rapidly escalating the blaze. The blaze lasted for nearly 15 minutes before fire brigade units brought it  under control at 6:30 pm, confirmed Anwarul Islam, media officer of the Fire  Service and Civil Defence. Total four units from Palashi and Siddik Bazar Station rushed to the fire  place after the incident.
