NCC Bank-DNCC partnership makes tax payment easy

NCC Bank PLC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) to allow residents to pay municipal taxes and fees easily through the bank’s branch network and digital platforms. Payments will cover holding tax, trade licence fees, hotel tax, market salami, wheel tax, and other charges,according to press release.

The agreement was signed at a local hotel in Dhaka by Mohammad Ashaduz Zaman, Secretary of DNCC, and M Shamsul Arefin, Managing Director of NCC Bank PLC. Senior officials from both organisations attended the ceremony, including revenue, social welfare, health, and banking executives.

Speaking at the event, M Shamsul Arefin said the partnership would provide DNCC residents with a convenient, real-time payment experience through any NCC Bank branch, the NCC Always internet banking app, or CRM terminals. He added that the initiative would make revenue collection faster, safer, and more transparent, supporting the country’s move toward a cashless society.

This collaboration marks a significant step in integrating technology and banking to improve citizen services in Dhaka North.
