BAUET holds Tech Fair

A day-long Technology Fair and Competition was held at the campus of the Bangladesh Army University of Engineering and Technology (BAUET) with the cooperation of various student clubs. The Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Brigadier General S. M. Lutfor Rahman, inaugurated the event as the Chief Guest by cutting the ribbon and later visited different stalls of the fair.
The Chief Guest said, “This innovative technology fair has been organized for all students studying at the university. I am truly impressed – the event turned out even more successful than I had expected. Today’s program proves that with determination and teamwork, we can achieve the impossible. I believe this competition will inspire national-level technological progress and encourage young entrepreneurs in the field of technology.”
Among others present were Colonel Md. Shawkat Hossain, psc (Retd.), Treasurer; Colonel Hla Han Maung (Retd.), Controller of Examinations; Professor Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Science and Humanities; Professor Dr. Mohammad Nurul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering; Professor Mohammad Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan, Dean, Faculty of ECE; Professor Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam, Department of Law and Justice; Major Md. Monjinul Mubin (Retd.), Acting Registrar; along with department heads, teachers, officers, and members of the print and electronic media, says a press release.
The day-long fair featured competitions in nine categories, including Hardware Project Show, Software Project Show, Programming Contest, Technical and Non-Technical Idea Contests, Thesis/Project Proposal Presentation, Tech Debate, and Gaming Contests (NFS and eFootball). A total of 1,054 students from 33 teams representing eight departments participated in the event.
In the second session of the event, a Prize Distribution and Cultural Program arranged, where all participants received certificates, and winners were awarded crests and prize money. The entire event was supervised by Professor Mohammad Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan, Dean of the Faculty of ECE. The program was conducted by Maisha from the CSE Department and Aniruddha from the Department of Law and Justice.
