Pay Commission to submit report on time

The Pay Commission, formed to propose a fair and effective new pay structure for government and autonomous bodies, expects to submit its report to the government within the stipulated timeframe.

The commission is currently engaged in reviewing and analyzing the public feedback and recommendations gathered through four online questionnaires.

Sources at the Pay Commission said various associations have already held meetings with the commission and submitted their views and proposals, which are now under examination.

According to a PID handout issued on Tuesday, the commission had earlier sought public opinion through online questionnaires in four categories – general citizens, government employees, government and autonomous institutions, and associations or societies – from October 1 to 15.
