‘BNP doesn’t believe in politics of revenge’
Staff Reporter :
Dr. Abdul Moin Khan, a member of BNP’s Standing Committee, stated that the BNP does not believe in the politics of revenge or in the politics of conflict and terrorism. The party believes in good governance and accountability. He made these remarks on Friday during a roadshow meeting at Parulia Mor, Gajaria Union, Polash Upazila in Narsingdi on the occasion of BNP’s founding anniversary.
Abdul Moin Khan said, “BNP, together with the country’s students and citizens, ousted the autocratic government. BNP fought against the Awami League for 16 long years. Through our collective movement, we have been liberated again. To consolidate that victory, we must restore democratic processes.
Those who govern the country must be accountable to the people. During the Awami League’s rule, there was neither accountability nor democracy. They plundered the country under the guise of development, displaying signboards while pocketing the money themselves.”
The roadshow meeting was attended by Polash Upazila BNP President Abdus Sattar, General Secretary Saiful Haque, Senior Joint General Secretary Bahaudin Bhuiyan Milton, Polash Municipality BNP President Alam Molla, Gajaria Union BNP President Amzad Hossain Bhuiyan Shamim, and other leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations.
