Construction of stadium demanded in Kulaura

A sit-in program and a memorandum have been submitted to the District Commissioner demanding the construction of a stadium and renovation of the playground of Nabin Chandra Government Model High School in Kulaura, Moulvibazar as soon as possible.

On Wednesday, August 20, at noon, the District Council in Kulaura Around 80 sports and social organizations of the upazila expressed solidarity in the sit-in program organized by Kulaura athletes, sports organisers, sports organizations, and people from all walks of life in front of the auditorium. The program included political, social, In addition to cultural and sports organizations, about five hundred people participated.

The program, chaired by sports organizer Abdul Qayum Mintu and moderated by Masud Rana, was addressed by former MLA of Moulvibazar-2 Kulaura constituency.

The speakers said that Kulaura is the fertile land for sports in Sylhet division. But the sad thing is that there is no sports stadium in Kulaura. A stadium is not just a demand, it is our rights.

Although initiatives have been taken to build a stadium many times in the past, they have not been implemented, leading to disappointment and anger in the sports circles of Kulaura. Therefore, the government should be asked to build a stadium to develop the talent of young players and protect the youth.
