40 hurt in clash between two groups

At least 40 people were injured in a clash between two groups in Kishoreganj ‘s Karimganj, on monday over mud spilling from a moving vehicle and falling on people.

The clash took place in Gourargop village under Kiraton Union of Karimganj upazila.

Police and locals, said that Tajul Islam (25) was going from his home to Gabtoli Bazar in karimganj upazila on Saturday afternoon.

At that time, a young man named Masud Mia from a neighboring village was coming from the opposite direction on a motorcycle.

When mud spilled on Tajul Islam’s body from Masud’s moving motorcycle, Masud got angry and beat Tajul Islam during an argument between the two.

The incident was announced by the center on the mosque’s microphone this morning, and the two sides engaged in a clash with local weapons.

About 40 persons from both sides were injured in the incident. Upon receiving the information, the police and the army rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
