TheBrief: BRAC Bank offers lowest CMSME loan rate

BRAC Bank, the pioneer of SME banking in Bangladesh, has announced a significant reduction in lending rates for cottage, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (CMSMEs), offering the lowest rate ever for unsecured loans in the sector.
As part of its ‘SME Means BRAC Bank’ brand campaign, the bank has brought down the interest rate to as low as 13.75 per cent, setting a new benchmark in CMSME financing in Bangladesh. The reduced rate will remain available throughout August and September 2025, thereby enhancing access to finance for entrepreneurs nationwide, says a press release.
This move is expected to strengthen further BRAC Bank’s position as a dependable financial partner for small businesses, particularly those unable to provide collateral. The bank continues to expand its offerings to support financial inclusion and promote sustainable business growth in both rural and urban areas.
