Participation of kindergarten students in scholarship exam demanded

A human chain, protest rally and memorandum submission program have been held in Ishwardi demanding that kindergarten school and private primary school students be given the opportunity to participate in the primary scholarship exam.

The hour-long program was organized by the Ishwardi Kindergarten Association on Tuesday at the Railgate Traffic Complex amidst heavy rain. Teachers, parents and students participated in the program.

The protest rally was presided over by the association’s president Md. Lutfar Rahman. The event was moderated by general secretary Mohidul Islam.

Former president of Ishwardi Press Club SM Raja, convener of the Ishwardi District Chai Movement Rajibul Alam Ivan, vice-president of Ishwardi Press Club Hasanuzzaman, journalist Khondaker Mahabubul Haque Dudu, editor of the weekly Janadrishti Jahangir Hossain, editor of Bir Bangla Ohiduzzaman Tipu, senior journalist Selim Ahmed, vice-president of the association Mejbaul Islam Chomak, etc., spoke in solidarity.
