Wajed Ali Sheikh, his wife Mosha Rumi and son Apurba Himel Rana were not injured in the July uprising. But they took financial assistance provided by the state as ‘July fighters’. They took health cards.

More than a hundred locals have accused three fighters from the same family, who were injured in the anti-discrimination movement in Patlashi village, Niguari union, Pagla police station, Gafargaon upazila, Mymensingh, of such fraud.

According to the application of Wajed Ali, his wife and children, who were recognized as July fighters, it is known that the three of them participated spontaneously in the movement on August 5 and were injured.

However, Wajed Ali said that they were slightly injured. At that time, his wife and children also suffered some injuries.

Later, Wazed Ali’s wife applied and received an allowance of one lakh taka.

On June 24, Wazed Ali attended the health card distribution ceremony for July fighters given by the government’s Ministry of Health and received the cards on behalf of the family.
