Jamuna Bank appoints new DMD

Jamuna Bank PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mohammad Jahangir Alam as Deputy Managing Director (DMD), effective 1 July 2025.

Alam brings over 20 years of distinguished experience in Corporate and Investment Banking, reinforcing the bank’s strategic vision with deep industry insight, dynamic leadership, and a strong track record of success.

Before joining Jamuna Bank PLC, Alam held the position of SEVP and Cluster Head of Public Sector, Public-Private Partnership (PPP), and Service Sector under the Wholesale Banking Division at City Bank PLC, where he served from May 2015. His career also includes key leadership roles such as Head of Structured Finance at City Bank and Head of Investment Banking at BRAC EPL Investments Ltd.
