10 million jobs pledged by BNP upon election win

BNP standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury today said if BNP is voted to power, Bangladesh will be turned into a commercial hub where domestic and foreign investors can invest freely.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the Sylhet Business Dialogue at Jalalabad Gas auditorium in Sylhet city on Saturday.
The event was organized under the initiative of BNP Chairperson’s Advisory Council member Khandaker Abdul Muktadir.
He said,If we come to power, one crore people of the country will be employed in the first 18 months,
Highest importance will be given to the information technology sector, he said, adding jobs will be given to the youth who have passed minimum SSC in the IT sector.
Initiatives will be taken to bring back young IT professionals who are skilled abroad, he added.
He said businesses should be kept out of politics. BNP will work to develop business and trade from the first day it comes to power, he added.
BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan Babu and former President Fazlul Haque was present as a special guest at the event,
BNP Chairperson’s Advisor Khandaker Abdul Muktadir presided over and Metropolitan BNP Vice President Barrister Riyasad Azim and Metropolitan BNP Treasurer Enamul Quddus Chowdhury jointly conducted the discussion.
