Bata holds 53rd AGM, approves 445pc dividend

The 53rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) Limited was held on Thursday through a digital platform. The meeting was presided over by the Chairman, Rajeev Gopala krishnan.

At the AGM, shareholders approved the audited financial statements for the year 2024, along with a total cash dividend of 445 per cent on paid-up capital. This comprises a 340 per cent interim dividend already disbursed and a 105 per cent final dividend approved during the meeting.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Debabrata Mukherjhee, Managing Director; Shaibal Sinha, Director; Farzanah Chowdhury, Independent Director; Elias Ahmed, Finance Director; and Riajur Reza Muhammad Faisal, company secretary, says a press release.

In his concluding remarks, the Chairman expressed heartfelt gratitude to the valued shareholders, customers, suppliers, employees, and the Government for their steadfast support of the Company.
