Kona’s family breaks up

Last Wednesday, rumours spread in the media that popular musician Dilshad Nahar Kona was having an extra-marital affair with a guitarist.
Even Kona’s six-year marriage is on the verge of collapse.

When rumours of a separation were circulating, Kona said that she was not on the verge of a breakup, but had already separated from her husband, Golam Mohammad Iftekhar.

The singer later announced the news of the family breakup on social media on Wednesday night. Kona wrote on Facebook, “I am Kona, your love. Birth, death, marriage – all are the will of Allah. Similarly, any separation happens
precisely at His behest.

To all my well-wishers and loved ones, it is with a heavy heart that I announce that after six long years of married life, Golam Mohammad Iftekhar Gohin and I finalised our divorce on June 16. This was a very difficult decision for both of us, and we both walked this path with mutual understanding.”

Kona also wrote, “We will always respect each other. I seek your prayers and cooperation so that we can both move forward with peace and respect in this new chapter of our lives. Right now I want to focus on my music, which has allowed me to come this far.

So, I hope you will respect my decision, and continue to treat me with the same respect and love you have
always treated me with. I am grateful for your love and support.” Iftekhar posted a post denying the breakup within an hour of sharing Kona’s
status on Facebook.

Iftekhar said that despite some family problems, they have not separated yet. Even those who are still spreading such news, he also threatened to take legal action against them. However, Iftekhar removed his post within a short time. Singer Dilshad Nahar Kona married businessman Iftekhar Gohin on April 21, 2019, after a seven-year relationship.
