Bangladesh has won the Best Country Award at the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) 2025, held in Indianapolis, USA, marking a historic milestone in the country’s journey toward becoming a global leader in entrepreneurship and innovation.
Competing against 200 countries, Bangladesh was recognised for its outstanding progress in nurturing entrepreneurship, driving innovation and developing a resilient startup ecosystem, a press release said.
Dr Md Sabur Khan, Chairman of GEN Bangladesh, and K. M. Hasan Ripon, Managing Director of GEN Bangladesh, during the GEC 2025 Award Ceremony, received the award.
“This award is a recognition of our youth, startups, women entrepreneurs and ecosystem builders working tirelessly to build the future of Bangladesh. We are proud to represent our nation on this global stage,” said Dr Sabur Khan.
