Workshop on laws and strategies supporting case management held in Sylhet

A day-long workshop on Laws and Strategies Supporting Case Management was held in Sylhet under the initiative of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The workshop, organized at the Sylhet Circuit House on Monday afternoon,
Officials and employees of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, including the Sylhet Regional Information Office (PID), Sylhet Divisional Information Office, various district information offices of Sylhet Division, and officials and employees of various levels of the Sylhet offices of Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television attended the workshop.
The inauguration of the workshop was announced and the keynote address was presented by Mahbuba Farzana, Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Joining virtually, she said, the basis of balanced progress is various laws and regulations. It is the moral responsibility of all conscious citizens to know these laws. The state assumes that everyone knows the law. It is necessary for government officials and employees to know how to implement the law. He said that this workshop will play an effective role in protecting government property and achieving administrative efficiency by effectively resolving government cases. Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Kazi Ziaul Baset delivered the welcome speech at the workshop.Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Mohammad Sher Mahbub Murad was present as a special guest.
Joint Secretary Riasat Al Wasif virtually joined the workshop and discussed issues related to land management law, things to do to protect government property and handling certificate cases. Law Officer of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Md. Masud Parvez discussed relevant laws and strategies for handling cases in high and subordinate courts and highlighted practical problems and solutions related to this. In addition, the discussants advised government departments to regularly monitor their respective properties and keep land-deposit related documents and other tax-related documents including land development tax updated.
