IFI PLC elects new Managing Director

Nurul Azim was appointed as the Managing Director of Islamic Finance and Investment PLC (IFI PLC) on Sunday.

Before joining IFIPLC, Azim worked for SBAC Bank PLC as Additional Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director.

He has experience working in diverse sectors of banking for over 24 years. He has worked in various capacities at banks like Premier Bank, Southeast Bank, National Bank, and SBAC Bank. He served as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Chief Business Officer (CBO) in SBAC Bank PLC.

He has vast expertise in various banking sectors, such as the credit division, foreign trade division, general banking, law and recovery division, credit administration, audits, and financial administration. Among his achievements, Azim has been recognised as the best ”Branch Manager’ several times during his National Bank and SBAC Bank PLC service.

Azim obtained his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Rabindra Bharati University, India, and his master’s degree in Economics from the same university.
