CCC starts vigorous activities for road renovation: Mayor Shahadat

Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain has commented that the Chattagram City Corporation (CCC) will soon start vigorous activities for road renovation to alleviate public suffering.
The mayor directed that the stalled work in each zone should be start at the field level within the next 3 days and visible development should be made within 3 months.
The Mayor made this announcement during an exchange of views with the Engineering Department at the City Corporation office in Tiger Pass on Monday.
Chief Engineer Mohammad Abul Kashem said in the meeting, the work is being hampered due to the absence of many contractors in the changed political context.
At this time, the mayor said, “The road renovation work must be completed as soon as possible.
Quality and sustainable renovation will be ensured to reduce the suffering of the city residents. The damaged roads of the main and alleyways of Chattagram city will be renovated on priority basis.
The stalled work in each zone should be started at the field level within the next 3 days and visible development should be made within 3 months.”
He further said, “Regular monitoring will be conducted to ensure transparency and accountability in the renovation work.
We will take quick and effective steps to relieve the city residents from suffering.
” If there is a shortage of manpower, arrange for new appointments and purchase the necessary equipment and complete the renovation work quickly.”
The Engineering Department and concerned officials present at the meeting promised to take necessary measures to implement the mayor’s instructions. Also present at the time were CCC Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Muhammad Touhidul Islam, Secretary Md. Ashraful Amin, PD of the project titled ‘Airport Road and Various Road Development and Important Infrastructure Development’ under CCC Md. Anisur Rahman, Supervising Engineer Farhadul Alam and other engineers.
